I recently took some senior pictures at a place called Clinton Park/Nature Preserve and loved it! I realized when I got there that I had been there once before for a cross country meet my freshman year but I guess back then I didn't see its potential as a great spot for pictures. Other than having many trails for running and exploring as well as a big playground, it also houses an old cabin type building and a farm house that is used as the park's offices. Although I took both of the shoots shown below on different days, I took the photos around the same time of night (around 6:30) which was the perfect time of day to get the exact lighting that I wanted for the pictures.
